It’s Time to Actualize Your Potential

Like a train, life is moving on, whether or not you are on board. Rather than watch as it passes you by, why not jump on and get moving with it?

One of my gifts and callings (a.k.a. responsibilities!) seems to be that I propel those around me into a course of action. I am passionate about helping others get activated, onto a trajectory to fulfill their God-given potential. Stagnancy and mediocrity just don’t tend to last long in the lives of those around me.

Catalytic Questions

As with my peers, I want to offer you, my readers, some mindset shifts that I think will empower you. Below are three simple and provocative reflections that I trust will help motivate you to make the most of your current season of life. Take a read, and reach out to let me know what these ideas are stirring within you!

Start by asking yourself the following questions. Journal about them. Sit with your response to each for a minute. Let yourself feel any discontentment or inspiration that rises within.

Then, make a new choice about how to move into your future.

ONE: If you could, would you change life?

I’m talking about a complete upgrade. Living your dream. Reaching your highest potential…

Here’s the good news: you can.

It starts with you and you alone.

Everything we experience in life is seen through individual lenses in our mind. We make choices as to how we view adversity, problems, setbacks and yes, even successes. Stop looking at the empty spaces between you and your dream and start filling those gaps with your resources.

You are a powerful person.

Change your outlook and you’ll change your reality.

TWO: What are you pursuing right now?

Often times, perception of successful individuals is that they know exactly what to do in order to
eliminate failure from important decisions. In reality, everyone fails. The difference is found in
how you react to these hiccups. The most successful people value failure as part of the process to success.

Winston Churchill said it well, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”

As you focus your time and energy into achieving greater things, remember to give yourself the opportunity to fail. When you do, rest in the moment. Reflect, analyze and apply newly learned lessons.

Then, move forward.

THREE: What do you plan to do today that will help accomplish your goals?

Your long term vision should be supported by large goals, broken down into smaller opportunities and manageable slices.

The essence of growth is exponentially building upon small successes and failures in order to shape a better tomorrow.

The value of process really starts to shine through when assessing a long term goal, planning to
accomplish it and seeing it through. It takes dedication and willpower, but nothing that you don’t already possess.

Get out there and do it!

Someone once said, “Failure is not the lack of success, but a necessary step to success.”

Life is a big pool of good and bad ideas. The sooner you eliminate the bad ones, the sooner you’ll be left with good ones.

So step up to the plate.

You’ve Got This.

If nobody else does, know I believe in you. And I am here to offer more insights and encouragement. Shoot me an email if you are looking for consultation on how to get where you’re going. That is, if you’re ready to be further challenged!

‘Till next time,
